![]() She loves staying in nice hotels and we thought that for a big birthday this place would be perfect. We booked the Turnberry for my daughter's birthday. I was disappointed from the moment I checked in. ![]() I really don't have anything nice to say. My expectations were high and I know I will not come back to this hotel. Gio is so nice with the customers, he could train his coworkers and his own manager on how to treat well customers and leave guests with high levels of satisfaction. How simple was that, he was very service oriented without complications. After a few minutes he found a place for us. We were not given any other choice but to keep walking under a 97degrees sun.įortunately we met at the back of the park a nice employee with the name Gio who suggested for us to seat in the dining area while he was going to try to find anything for us and for another family. So I asked for some towels to put on the floor and be able to seat, but he said it was not allowed. Come on! Seriously? Is that the way you answer to a request for help from one of your guests in the hotel? After requesting help and being disregarded by 3 different employees I was taken to their manager Jeff Mikus, and his answer to my request for help was: “It is already noon, if you wanted to find available chairs you should have come way earlier this is a busy holiday and if you want to find something available, I suggest you keep walking and searching, next time I suggest you come at 8 am and not this late”…. When we accessed the water park at around noon, it was crowded, and after 30 minutes of walking around the park, we were not able to find any chaise lounges available. I came to JW Marriot at Aventura with my family to spend Labor Day / Rosh Hashanah weekend at a rate of $467.76 per night, and today I am leaving extremely disappointed. Many employees in Tidal Cove water park, including their manager Jeff Mikus, lack the basic training to make the hotel guests feel welcomed.
